I’m heading back to the studio soon and I’m so excited. I found one of the best studios in Charlotte and I can’t wait to record and hear the finished product, and most importantly get it to the speakers of The Leaders!!! Until then check out this new freestyle I just recorded literally a few minutes ago (April 1st, 2016 @ 6:38pm) to Bryson Tiller’s Sorry Not Sorry track from his project Trapsoul.
This entry is just a brief update on what’s been happening as of recently on my journey to Destiny. I’m realizing that it takes a lot to be successful, a lot of determination, a lot of patience, and a lot of sleepless nights to say the least. My passion has been driving me through this journey that includes roadblocks, mental distractions, and real life obstacles. My journey has also been filled with countless amazing studio sessions, new friends, enlightening moments, and blessings on blessings on blessings!!!
Over the past 3 years I feel like I’ve been preparing myself, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Along the way I’ve learned so much about life and the industries that I will be diving head first into. I get more and more excited each day about the projects I am working on and the relationships that I have been building with new people.
After not releasing music for over a year, I’ve finally began releasing music that I’ve been holding on to for what seems like forever. Hopefully you’ve had a chance to listen to and download the two new songs that I’ve released (Throwback & Chef Curry). Throwback is a cover song from about 2 or 3 years ago to Usher’s song by the same name.
Chef Curry is a dope track produced by my brother Ruby Rocx. The night we made that song was a great night. It was actually the last of 3 songs from that session. After completing the first 2 songs Ruby Rocx looked over at me and said, “bro I’m feeling like doing one more before we call it a night bro.” It was a weekday and we were both kinda tired, but feeding off of each other’s energy. In my mind there was no question and no hesitation. Not even 3 full seconds later I responded, “Let’s get it bro.” It felt like he made that beat in less than 20 minutes. Instead of recording the vocals for it after he was done, I transferred the beat to my laptop and headed home.
By the time I got home an hour or so later I was wide awake and full of inspiration. I began working on some other company things for a little while then up to my room to record the vocals for Chef Curry. By the time I finished recording, the sun had come up and social media was flooded with Thanksgiving posts. After emailing the completed song back to Ruby Rocx, He insisted that I release the song the same day.
These two songs are just the first of what’s to come and I can’t wait to share more, especially my first debut single that I won’t say the name to just yet, but will be released very soon. I’m watching a Bob Marley documentary at the moment, but I’m thinking about getting a quick nap in before the sun comes up since it’s already 4:33am now. More updates coming soon, Dream Big!!!
I had an amazing 26th birthday. I knew this day was going to be great the moment I agreed to perform in the Queens Networking Showcase. My birthday was also on Dream Big Friday so that was even more excitement for me. The best part to me was performing brand new music to a room full of people that have never seen me perform or heard my music before, except for maybe a handful of people.
The 13 minutes that I performed that night was the greatest adrenaline rush in a long time, and the love I received was phenomenal. I’ve added a few photos of the performance from the Showcase to the photo gallery for you to checkout when you get a chance.
After the show my cousin Twan lead me to an unknown location… I knew my family was planning me a surprise party, but I had no clue about the details. I didn’t think Ruby Rocx knew anything about it, but He made it out also along with my manager and few close friends. My whole family was in the building and it was LIVE, hands down the best birthday I’ve ever had.
I was grateful to be surrounded by so much love that day and to spend some of it doing the thing that I have a great passion for. With this being the first time I’ve ever performed on my birthday, I’m thinking about making this a tradition. Maybe I can have another surprise party also haha.
Til next time, Dream Big!!!
I have set a new goal in my journey which is to reach 100 downloads on my new track “Throwback”. Click the link to the song here to check it out and download for free. I will also need you to share the song with at least one other person.
I appreciate your support and I will be sharing more music as I reach more goals!!! Thank you and Dream Big!!!!
Your Fellow Lifestyle Leader,
It’s important to have a clear vision for your life. Where you are now DOES NOT determine where you can be. What you know now DOES NOT determine all that you can know.
To understand your full potential, you have to understand your True Self. Your True Self has no limits, only challenges that can be fearlessly faced and defeated.
Even if your current circumstances or life situations aren’t as you’d wish they would be, don’t focus on that. Instead, visualize your ideal life. Imagine yourself as strong as you want to be, as fast as you’d like, or as smart as you wish. Imagine how it will feel when you do exactly what you thought at first that you couldn’t. You are unstoppable.
Now that you have imagined this, know that it is very possible. As stated by Napoleon Hill, “Whatever the mind can conceive and achieve, the mind can conceive.” This is so true. If you can imagine it, you can be it!! Follow your dreams and have faith in the magnificent possibilities!!
Your Fellow Lifestyle Leader,
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”
– Napoleon Hill
Let’s start today off with some truth. Impossible is a lie. Someone BELIEVED a piece of metal weighing 75 tons could fly through the air carrying hundreds of people. Someone also BELIEVED a tiny audio device could wirelessly connect to a 2.5 x 4 inch digital mobile device and play your favorite music. What someone may have thought was impossible 1000 years ago is past possible today.
You are very much capable of doing the exact same things that one of your peers thinks is impossible, but do YOU BELIEVE it is possible is what truly matters. There are no limitations in this life we live except the limitations we believe in. Be great, young Leader, and Dream Big!!
Your Fellow Lifestyle Leader,
